Angela ended up losing more than 100 pounds after undergoing bariatric surgery. The surgery posed a big risk to Angela’s health because of her excessive smoking. The results were stunning but didn’t save the marriage since Michael cheated on her with a 31-year-old woman on Instagram. Angela seemed to have gained some of the weight back in the next three years, but in April 2024, right after Michael’s disappearance, Angela revealed that she was rapidly losing weight. This time around, Angela did not need any medical help to get thin, since she had not been eating because of emotional distress.
